This is the Frontier20 Walnut Grip Stair Tread Bullnose, 12x24 in a wood face. Frontier20 is the 20 mm outdoor programme, thick enough to be laid dry on gravel, sand or pedestals.

Wood look porcelain goes where real timber should not: wet rooms, entries and floors with underfloor heating. A stair tread is the horizontal surface of a step, with the front edge already finished so it can take the nosing.

The body is 20 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. It is sold by the box, 3.88 sq ft per box and 2 pieces in it.

This one is made to order, so allow production time rather than treating it as a shelf item. It is made in the United States, at Landmark's Mount Pleasant plant in Tennessee.
