4.5x6 Vintage Distressed Tabriz Rug

:: Diamond shaped center medallion with oversized scrolled serrated leaves and long stemmed vines with blossoms inwardly directed wrapped by a partial Samovar Turtle design motif main border oversized lotus flower. Heavy abrashes across. Colors and shades include: Dusty teal, beige, sand, sandalwood, seafoam green, dusty faded navy blue, madder root red, terracotta, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Extensive restoration of reknotting of pile, mainly found in a softball sized area of the main field and likely the main medallion ground shade. One end measures more narrow than the other, coming in at 4'4" as opposed to 4'6", within normal margins for type and age. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Tabriz rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 4'6" x 6'.
