3x5.5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Rug

:: Oversized shield-like medallion with central floral blossom bouquet in large scale mapping atop a partially covered field of interior pointed germinating blossoms / tulips with splayed halved minor medallions in inverted coloration. Great abrashes throughout. Colors and shades include: Pale cantaloupe melon, ivory, mauve, dark copper bronze, bright turquoise ocean green blue, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with foundation showing through. Three or four minor mends to the main border. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak rug made in Turkey circa 1960's vintage. Size measures 2'10" x 5'6".
