3.5x5.5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Rug

:: Shield-like center medallion with outwardly directed quatrefoil sickle shaped leaves and palmettes atop an open field. Corner spandrel overlays in quarter map design of the main medallion with bright blue ground fill. Main border in a meandering leaf, vine, and floral palmette design motif. Colors and shades include: Antique ivory, pale coffee brown, sky blue, indigo blue, sapphire blue, pale coffee brown and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with hard isolated areas of foundation showing through. Secure sides, fully secured ends. Possibly reduced in size to the perimeter. Machine bound sides. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak rug made in Turkey circa 1960's vintage. Size measures 3'8" x 5'8".
