3.5x5.5 Vintage Distressed Melas Rug

:: Single column quatrefoil minor floral serrated leaf medallions atop a predominantly open field with a samovar at the top. Wide banded main border in similar relief to the main interior column of serrated leaf arrangement with pinwheel coloration. Inner and outer minor border in a serpent motif rendering. Colors and shades include: Dusty raspberry red, ivory, beige, pale magenta, silver, platinum, beige and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Melas rug made in Turkey circa 1970's vintage. Size measures 3'9" x 5'5".
