2.5x4.5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Rug

:: Single column germinating tree of life design motif within a lozenge cartouche shaped outlined rendering. Corner spandrels of the main field in a pinwheel design motif with wide banded main border comprised of geometric germinating plants in simplistic primitive interconnected rendering in randomly alternating color fills. Heavy changes in dye lots, namely those in the beige and magenta / fuchsia shades. Colors and shades include: Dusty mauve, dusty mint green, ivory, silver, magenta, fuchsia, dusty aubergine, pale turquoise teal, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak rug made in Turkey circa 1950's vintage. Size measures 2'6" x 4'7".
