2.5x4.5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Rug

:: Diamond shaped center medallion with trefoil finials in a crown-like contour atop a partially covered field with heavy abrashes and speckling of alternating yarn use. Corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion as quarter map representation of same bearing inverted coloration. Colors and shades include: Pink, rose, ruby red grapefruit, slate blue, pale coffee brown beige, dusty seafoam green, dusty powder blue, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end of the carpet is professionally rebuilt. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak rug made in Turkey circa 1960's vintage. Size measures 2'7" x 4'7".
