2.5x3.5 Vintage Distressed Kars Rug

:: Unidirectional tree of life design motif in unique weaver mapping and partial prayer design motif. Unique delicate vines and sharp detailed finned floral blossoms stemming therefrom. Thick plush wool pile with heavy construction and blanket-like malleability. Colors and shades include: Coffee brown, dusty sapphire blue, ivory, camel brown, pale coffee brown, dusty rose, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Reduction to perimeter, mainly one outer end border. One end measures more narrow than the other, coming in at 3'5" as opposed to 3'8", within normal margins for type and age. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Kars rug made in Turkey circa 1970's vintage. Size measures 2'5" x 3'8".
