10x13.5 Antique Mahal Carpet

:: Covered field in repeating minor and major floral medallions arranged in staggered rows and columns with short minor scrolled arabesques and germinating shrubs throughout. Colors and shades include: Black cherry red, dusty gold, beige, mauve, lavender, dusty rose, ivory, sky blue, indigo blue, sapphire blue, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even pile height across. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. More recent airbrushing of mauve lavender shades which bear disparate coloration on the reverse in a rose color. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Mahal carpet made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 10'1" x 13'8".
